Installing a solar battery as part of your home solar energy system, allows for any extra energy produced by your solar panels to be stored, instead of exported back to the electricity grid.
Storing excess electricity within a battery gives you more control over how you use your energy. For example, on cloudy days or days where your system does not produce as much power as usual, you can pull electricity from the batteries instead of the grid (in turn – saving money).
Installing solar batteries not only allows you to reduce your home’s carbon footprint, but it also brings your household one step closer to self-sufficiency.
The Cheaper Home Batteries Program is now available. Households and small businesses may be eligible for around a 30% discount on the upfront cost of installing a small-scale solar battery. The discount will be based on the solar battery’s usable capacity and will gradually decrease until 2030.
ALL CUSTOMERS CONSIDERING BATTERIES AND/OR BACK-UP FUNCTIONALITY WILL RECEIVE A FREE, NO OBLIGATION ON-SITE SURVEY & POWER CONSUMPTION ASSESSMENT.
